A new painting in my Animal Series: Lady Sybil Soft-Pelt

A bunny rabbit in victorian clothing inspired by beatrix potter

Sybil, that is lady Sybil Soft-Pelt, departed from the train. It was a cold sharp Autumn day and she was on a mission.

Tho it was not yet Winter, she was bundled up and donning her favorite muff. Cranston, her ladie's maid, was most like busy departing the third class train car, barking orders for her "ladie's cases".

Lady S was here on a mission: The old family Pile , crumbling as it may be, was about to be inhabited once again. There was work to be done and the old place could shine once more.

Of course Sybil could not have done so on her meagre allowance and having said no to a good list of eligible men, she would be considered rather a Poor cousin. Yet, Fate had stepped in the form of an aged maiden Aunt who saw fit to leave it all to Sybil before leaving this mortal coil.

"Lady Sybil Soft-Pelt of Cottonwood Hall"...She rather liked the sound of that.

Good day all and here is today's new character in my animal world and the bit of story that swam about my head as I created her.

And I do like a layers GIF

I'm happy to be back on Hive. It's this time of year that I usually find my way back online, as the Summer wanes and things calm down. However, I do have a lot of family down just now for the Harvest Moon time. We tend to gather this time of the year giving the last hurrah to the seaside. Of course I stick around year round, I love my ocean in the dark cold Winter.

I hope you enjoyed today's character and artwork. I'm looking forward to continue to share them with you and I'm also working on a new space for some artwork I hope to get back into. It'll be such fun to share the process and progress.

I hope all of you have a lovely day and remember to stay creative. Now back to the studio.

I made a video of this on my YouTube Channel if you’d like to watch it.
